Position: Lead Engineer, Manager of Back Office Applications
Location: New York, New York
Job Description
Manage a team that codes and maintains company's allocation reporting and clearing application. Determine product release schedules, understand requirements of users including the back office group and the finance group. Determine implementation of new product features. Interface with outside parties to discuss software changes; Interface with clearing broker to ensure trades clearing success. Analyze and resolve day-to-day production issues. Participate in full life cycle of application, including design, implementation, quality assurance, acceptance and final release. Work with specialized software application tools and languages.
Job Requirements
- Master of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent)
- 2 years experience in job offered or 2 years experience in Software Development for financial trading applications.
- Demonstrated expertise in the following:
- Analyzing equity, futures and options trading system requirements and translating requirements into system architecture and design;
- Developing Clearing and Risk Management applications using PERL, and C++
- Programming, testing and configuring FIX connections for trading and clearing applications.
- Database design using SQL and PostgreSQL, and in Database replication using Slony.
